In this day and age, sometimes I forget that racism exists. Where I'm at in Dallas, I suppose I live in a pretty diverse city where most everyone accepts that we're people underneath regardless of religion, sex, color, sexual preference etc. Once in awhile though, the cold hard truth slaps me in the face that it's not all daisies... That we're all living in a world that's still very much full of hatred and evil. It's a shame...I've faced racism before as a child and in the form of a law enforcement. Twice actually. I've witnessed beatings before my own eyes, and I myself have been in cuffs face down being pulled over for no reason...Speeding perhaps? Nah. No ticket...like I said...no reason. He just didn't like us...and I guess I'm reminded by this by the following video once again:
I would hope that voters of this country would make an informed decision based on important issues. But...I guess this is the side-effect of "Freedom of Speech"...I just hope their Freedom of Speech doesn't ever affect the overall health of this country over the next 4 years, and that they are voting based on the real issues. And if they truly believe that one candidate is better than the other, it was based on cold hard facts. Otherwise, we're in for some gloomy times...

Second off... Damn you Ike. It's going to hit Texas harder than it has ever hit Tina. I hope everyone south of me is able to escape and avoid the path that Ike will take...scary nevertheless. The power of mother nature is both majestic yet devastating. It's like the wrath of a woman!
Not to mention, Ike is going to wipe out my plans for a day at the race track. I am David's sad face
